Paddock Studios

Paddock Art Studios

SN front of buildingSet in theheart of Lewes, looking out over the Paddock, with views to the Castle,Paddock Studios provide a lovely creative atmosphere in which to work, hidden away from the main hustle and bustle of the town.  The rambling old building was once an old coach house and we’re looking forward to learning more about the building and its history and exploring it’s beautiful gardens at the June Lewes Arts Meet up.

As well as housing studio space for some  resident artists – Painters Peter Messer and Stephanie Kirk are based here as is potter Rowena Williams  and the Lewes Mosaic Makers.

The main studio  is available at the weekends or during school holiday periods and costs £35 per day.  This studio is perfect to run a workshop for groups of approximately 6-12 people and has a glass roof and windows over the beautiful garden.

SN stable studio gallery

The newly renovated stable studio and gallery is available for use as a temporary workshop, for small classes or one-to-one session for £15 per day during the week and £20 per day during the weekend.  It has a secure hanging system and is great as an exhibition space.  It will be used as a temporary exhibition during Artwave and can be used if artists need a temporary studio to work up a project.  The entrance opens straight onto Paddock Lane, which could attract any passing public, who are sure to want to take a look.  (Price on application dependent upon the length of the exhibition.)

Standard studio equipment is provided when hiring either of these studios, as is the use of the kitchen and garden.  For further information contact or check on the website for availability in the calendar.
